Born and raised in Wisconsin, the Iceman™ has always been a must have for myself, family, and friends. I have no exciting tale, or near death experience that correlates in any way to my Iceman™'s. However, in my opinion that's a good thing if it pertains to cold feet. Bottom line is that I use them for ice fishing, deer hunting ( sitting in a stand), and snowmobiling. They have always provided a sense of security, and have kept my feet both warm and dry....never anything else.
